Early RWC 2011 arrivals boost international tourism numbers in August

August arrivals were up 4.7 per cent on the same month last year.  Just over half of the increase could be attributed to RWC2011 visitors arriving before the tournament opened.

Excellent results from MasterChef Australia

First cruise ships kick off a promising season

The main cruise season opens on October 10 with Sea Princess docking in Auckland. National port calls for the season are expected to jump 25.1%, including 78 ships visiting Akaroa due to the recent Christchurch earthquakes damaging Lyttleton. New appointments at TNZ

TNZ today welcomes Leonie Ashford, our new Business Events Bid Manager who will be based in Wellington. Leonie is responsible for managing the Conference Assistance Programme (CAP Fund) which promotes New Zealand as an international conference destination. David Sakey also joins the Auckland team today from Colmar Brunton; he will lead TNZ’s marketing insights programme.
